Sr. Cloud Engineer – Hybrid (Bogotá) ☁️

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Cloud Engineer to provide consulting, design, and implementation services for our clients. While the role primarily focuses on public cloud computing (specifically Amazon Web Services), the scope will range from information security to infrastructure (server, serverless, container) and specialized AWS services like Amazon Connect, Amazon Workspaces, and Amazon Media Services.

📍 Location: Hybrid in Bogotá – 3 days remote, 2 days in the office
💼 Contract Type: Permanent (Indefinite-term contract)

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Solutions: Gain an in-depth understanding of our IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings, which are based on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• Client Implementations: Implement new clients, ranging from rapid SaaS solution deployments to larger projects, including migrating client environments from On-Premise to the Public Cloud, managing existing cloud environments, or optimizing them.
• Technical Expertise: Act as the technical subject matter expert, guiding clients through their implementations while contributing to the ongoing improvement of our products, services, and back-office operations. Support ongoing sales efforts through your expertise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced studies in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 3 – 4 years of experience in a specific technology area (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Experience in customer-facing roles (professional services, support, etc.) with the ability to manage relationships with clients up to the senior/executive level.
• Experience in designing, building, or supporting hosted products/services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Visio and Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate technical concepts clearly and support assertions with data.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple issues simultaneously.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving abilities to quickly assess problems, resolve them, or implement alternative solutions consistently.
• Hands-on experience with a Public Cloud Provider (IaaS and PaaS) such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and/or virtualization technologies like Xen, HyperV, or vSphere.
• Experience with scripting, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, tuning, and scripting using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, PHP with Windows and/or a common Linux distribution.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure components such as Servers, Storage, Networking (routing, subnets, firewalls, dedicated circuits, or IPSEC-based VPNs).
• Experience with web servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBOSS, IIS, or Apache.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, or MySQL.
• Proven ability to work directly with client technical teams to drive initiatives, act as the subject matter expert for projects, and serve as the technical point of contact.
• Operate with a high sense of urgency, supporting business-critical applications with strict SLAs.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
